My first book of 52 in 52 was The Sisters Brothers by Patrick deWitt. I really enjoyed the story of Eli and his journey across America to finish one more job. I’ve lived in my brother’s shadows for all of my life so I can relate very easily to Eli and how he adored and disliked his brother all at the same time. The easy flow of story makes this an interesting and easy read. This is not something I would normally pick up but I’m trying to expand my reading genres past the teen fiction section. And what better way to start then with an award winner. Check out this book if you have any interest in the gold rush and the lives of those who risked it all for their shot at a million.
