Last of the added sugar!

Last of the added sugar!

Bacon and caramel, died and gone to heaven. Damn my self imposed no added sugar June. July is going to be a bakefest!

So you’re having a party for Canada Day and making these and inviting me to celebrate, right?
That actually sounds like an excellent idea, except I’ll be skating in a parade that day!

And if I make it through June without a whole lot of added sugar I am getting another pair of blackmilks! I <3 these leggings more than life.

June = No Added Sugar

For the month of June I am going to be avoiding sugar, I’ve been off my “diet” for about a month now and I can feel the bloat in my tummy. So for the month of June I am going to go back to tracking all my meals and limiting my sugar intake. That being said, if I want to have a cake pop, I’m going to have a cake pop, not 6 cake pops!

This is going to be challenging but I need to get back ontrack and have my body respond better. This is about feeling good and still enjoying the summer foods that come around with the warm weather. Moderation is my key and I need to remember that. Follow me at myfitnesspal

My arms are sore, my hips are sore, my ass has a bunch of lovely bruises but I had one of the best weekends ever!

Originally I was not going to play in this weekend bout, I had just been to Sudbury two weeks before and my cousin’s buck and doe was this weekend. But after some unfortunate circumstances I found myself stepping up and joining my teammates in the trek to the North. I’m so glad I did.

We had a great time bonding over mass amounts of pasta and Shirley Temples (they came with cotton candy and we are 4 so we ordered some). The game was great and challenging but we pulled together and laid it out on the track, literally, at one point in the game we laid down on the track in a dead bug move for our jammer to get her ass through the pack. It was great to see and hear the confusion from everyone, even our announcer didn’t know what was going on. We may have lost again but we had a great time loosing. I can not ask for a better bunch of ladies to call my teammates, we had an even better time at the hotel after but that’s another story!
